Description: ABELAM PROTECTIVE WOVEN AMULET
   
  A tightly woven amulet created by the Abelam people as a form of protection. 
  Worn around the neck often at the back, protective elements such as bone, hair
  and other personal articles are enclosed within the woven pouch.  Old boar
  tusks and natural pigments decorate the piece. Incisions have been made
  for attachments.
