A classic inland Turubu Mosquito Mask with a rich glossy patina throughout. This well carved dense wood mask portrays the iconic “mosquito” nose, a feature carved only by the people of the Turubu region. A mask such as this would have been consulted on in times of warfare and hunting. Irregular piercings throughout, a beautifully well preserved mask.
