Seed Modesty Skirt
A beautifully formed tribal skirt from the Gnau culture, West Sepik. Made from coix seeds known as Job's tears and woven fiber. A skirt such as this were worn on a daily bases as well as ceremonies and dance. This example has two layers, woven to provide a double curtain of modesty. Dates to the 20th Century. Custom stand included.
