Kwoma Mythical Mask
Kwoma people are known to create variations of this mythical ceremonial spirit mask. The long butterfly like nose, delicate in form evokes an endearing presence. This particular mask has as attachments three silver 1930's shillings on one ear. Upon his forehead is a small embossed cuscus. Large irregular piercings appear throughout for ceremonial decorations to be attached.
